At Mooloolah State School Prep, we believe all classes offer "A Foundation for Life Learning".
- Your Prep child will be looking, listening and learning through play-based, negotiated and active learning experiences every day.
- Our Prep is a place where children can play, work, have fun, feel safe and be happy.
- During their play, the Preps make decisions; solve problems; develop thinking skills; collaborate; communicate and develop a positive sense of self.
- We have been implementing The Early Years Curriculum in our Prep Class in 2007 and 2008. We have been following the Plan-Do-Reflect model. The staff and the Preps are discovering together what works and what doesn't.
- The Prep Class is a part of the whole school campus - we eat with the older children; we have PE, Music and Library; and we attend Assembly from Term 2.
- Parent involvement is actively sought and encouraged. By working together we can all give your child the best possible Prep year.
- Before and After School Care is available to the Prep children.
- Prep at Mooloolah State School is a learning place.
