Rule and Expectation:
The focus of the week covers ‘Be Respectful’. Please remind students that the school rules are ‘Be a Learner, Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Safe’.
Goals for this expectation:
- We use a calm, friendly and respectful voice and ‘make an effort to include others in our play’.
- We can politely decline and say, “Sorry, not today,” if we don’t want to play with someone today.
Each teacher will discuss with their class why it is important to follow the above expectations when not allowing others to play in our game/s. For example, if there are too many students already playing or there have been issues amongst friends, instead of using a big voice and telling them to move on, we can stay calm, use a respectful tone and say, “Sorry not today.”
